Derrick Katungye

Derrick is a Civil Engineer and Project Manager with over a decade of experience in road construction, project planning and management, and construction supervision across Uganda

He is the Founder and Executive Director of Ricky Engineering Services Ltd

He has executed several multi-billion subcontract road and drainage works for major contractors on UNRA projects

He has served as a Deputy Project Manager at China Railway 18th Bureau Group Co. Ltd on the upgrading of Tororo-Busia Road (26km) and Mayuge and Busia Town Roads (18km), and as Assistant Project Manager at China Railway No. 3 Engineering Group on the Kanoni-Sembabule-Villa Maria Road (110km)

He is knowledgeable in PPDA, FIDIC and EAIA forms of contract, with hands-on experience in contract management, delay analysis, variation orders, bills of quantities and earned value analysis

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Makerere University; Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Building Engineering from Kyambogo University; MSc Construction Management Kyambogo University (ongoing); Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health

He is a professional Member of Construction Law Institute (MCLI); Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers (MUIPE); Construction Management Association of Uganda (CMAU)
