On the 14th of June, 2024, the Construction Law Institute (CLI) and the Uganda Society of Architects (USA) held a signing ceremony to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations. This milestone event, marking the first collaboration of CLI with a professional body, took place in an atmosphere of enthusiasm for future collaboration and was in furtherance of its mission of bringing together experts and professionals in advancing best practises in the construction industry through training advocacy and research for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Representing the Construction Law Institute were Executive Director David Kaggwa and Chairman of the Board of Directors Victor Odongo. The Uganda Society of Architects was represented by its President Arch. Jacqueline Namayanja, Honorary Secretary Arch. Catherine Nanteza Muyinda and Senior Architect Arch. Flora Runumi.
The MoU signifies a strategic partnership aimed at fostering professional development and empowering professionals with essential skills in dispute avoidance and resolution in the construction sector. This collaboration is expected to enhance the capacities of both organizations, providing their members with enriched opportunities for growth and learning.
